SEPTEMBER 8, 2016 MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES
OREGON REGION CLASSIC CAR CLUB OF AMERICA
Members and Guests present:
John & Georgia Mitchell, Robert & Frankie Douglas,
Howard & Evelyn Freedman and their guests Paul & Rosanne
Hunt from Dallas Texas, Mona Marsh & Orville Crull, Bill
Jabs, Chris Cataldo, Larry Schick, John Imlay, Bill
Price, Bob Earls and Larry Cox.
Director Bill Jabs called the meeting to order at 7:05
pm and asked Howard Freedman to introduce his guests,
the Hunts. Bill thanked Larry and Laura Schick for the
great job that they have been doing on the Hood
A motion was passed to dispense with reading of the
August meeting minutes.
Treasurer Howard Freedman reported a gross treasury
balance of $25,109.45 which when offset by $19,612.60 of
fall tour receipts and expenses leaves a net balance of
$5,496.85. Bill Jabs said that membership dues are now
due to national and added to be careful calculating dues
if you are a member of more than one CCCA region.
Membership Chairman Bill Price had nothing new to report
on the membership front.
Evelyn Freedman reported that Bev Smith was no longer
able to walk on her own.
John Imlay reported on the upcoming October 14th
thru 16th Packard Club Pumpkin Tour. As in
the past, Oregon CCCA has been included and his review
of the itinerary indicates it will be a very event
Howard Freedman announced that they will be hosting a
Halloween Costume Party and potluck again this year at
their garage on October 30th.
Bill Jabs said that the Annual Membership Meeting this
year will be on November 6th at the Tualatin
He added that the Annual Planning Meeting will be held
at the Freedmanís garage on November 19th at
Howard Freedman reviewed the fall tour itinerary details
and said that George Potter will be bringing tour
license plates for our cars. He reminded us that a
national parks pass would be needed during the tour.
Howard reported that the Jeff McDonald restored Lancia
that we saw earlier this year on our May tour took Best
of Show at Pebble Beach.
Newsletter Editorís Report:
Larry Schick said that the fall edition of the
Hood Release would be out sometime around
Thanksgiving. There was much praise of the wonderful
job that Larry and Laura have been doing.
Old Business / New Business:
Howard Freedman reported that the Annual Meeting of CCCA
would be held on March 29th thru April 4th,
2017 in Bend, Oregon.
Larry Cox mentioned that it is sometimes difficult for
tour members with older cars to keep up with cars that
are only a few years younger. He suggested that it was
really not a problem for a slower car to fall behind
when there are enough stops along the way to catch up.
Bill Jabs adjourned the meeting at 7:40 pm.
