OREGON REGION CLASSIC CAR CLUB OF AMERICA

BOARD MEETING MINUTES – 5 September 2009

 

 

Board Members Present:  Robert & Frankie Douglas, Herb & Bobby Shaw, Quentin Robbins and Bob Earls.

 

Members Present:  Lisa Nowak, June Fezler, Gene & Lois Bradshaw, Bill & Wendy Jabs, Ray Dunford, Mona Marsh, and Matt Hackney.

 

Director Robert Douglas called the meeting to order at 6:10 p.m.

 

Secretary’s Report:  The minutes were approved as read.

 

Treasurer’s Report:  Herb Shaw reported a $13,782.75 in the checking account of which $6,750.00 is for the September Tour.  Balance in the Treasury is $7,032.75.

 

Editor’s Report:  Frankie Douglas said that the newsletter deadline is 15 September.  Please send any information to her by e-mail.  This will be her final issue as editor of The Hood Release.

 

Membership:  Bob Earls said that there are no new members at this time.

 

Sunshine Report:  No Sunshine Report this month.

 

Social & Tour Report: Robert Douglas gave the Tour Report this month:

Ø  15 September – Tour & Show at the Homewoods Retirement Residence.  Meet at  CONTACT _Con-418CD25D5A \c \s \l Howard Freedman’s garage at 12:45 pm.

Ø  19-27 September – Howard Freedman’s planned tour to Vancouver Island, BC.

o   Bill Jabs plans to give a tour of the ferry while crossing from Canada to the U.S.

Ø  16-18 October – Rockaway Beach Tour

 

Old and New Business:

Ø  Herb Shaw told attendees about Daniel Tharp, a good upholsterer.

Ø  Note from National received on 31 August that the 1941 – 1948 Chrysler Town & Country was accorded Full Classic status

 

As there was no further business to come before the board, a motion was moved and seconded that the meeting be adjourned at 6:25 pm.

 

At this time, the CCCA would like to thank Bob Earls and Lisa Nowak for hosting the CCCA Board meeting.  As the weather that day was cool and rainy, the CCCA would also like to thank Howard Freedman for allowing the club to use his garage for our September Barbecue Meeting.
