2009 Oregon CCCA Mini Tour     

           

 

Portland to Arlington to Nanaimo to Port Alberni to Victoria

 to Lake Quinault to Tokeland to Portland

 

It was our 10th annual Oregon Mini tour. Touring Vancouver Island and Victoria

We had nice weather, good company and a grand time for all.

When we arrive at the dock in Nanaimo we were met by Bhagwan & Gail Mayer who had us join them at a Vancouver car club annual picnic

Then on to see the Little Qualicum Falls

In Port Alberni we were treated to a visit to a historic saw mill

From Port Alberni we drove to Tofino with a stop to see one of two fire fighting sea planes. The other one was being used in the California fires.

On Wednesday we head on to Victoria with another stop in Coombs. Note the goats on the roof. Howard got the Blooper Flag again for feeding the goats

Our first night in Victoria we had dinner at the Old English Inn

Of course we need our nightly happy hour

Then dinner at the Old English Inn

We meet up with a couple local car club people in Victoria for a morning tour of town

Note he is a Packard man so he designed and built the front door of his home to look like a Packard grill.

The next day Bhagwan leads us on a special tour of Victoria area including a stop to see a local car collectors toys

Then on to visit Craigdarroch castle in Victoria

Followed by a visit to a restoration shop.

On Friday we head to Lake Quinault with a ride on the Black Ball Ferry

and the pilot house where both Bill and Robert get to be the pilot

The last night of our tour was spent at the historic Tokeland Inn. The oldest Inn in Washington state
